Tauseef S. Ahmed is Of Counsel to Tor Ekeland Law, bringing both trial and transactional experience to the Firm’s clients. A seasoned trial attorney, he has won numerous trials throughout New York. He also manages his own firm, The Law Offices of Tauseef S. Ahmed, PLLC.
Tauseef previously served as General Counsel to SNR Development on Long Island, managing the legal function, advising on strategy, and negotiating complex transactions with institutional clients. Earlier, as an associate at a top international law firm in Albany, he argued twice before the Appellate Division, Third Department, handled Chapter 7 and 13 bankruptcies, and litigated patent infringement cases in the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.
He worked in the chambers of the Hon. Leonard D. Wexler in the Eastern District of New York, drafting bench memoranda, orders, and decisions in criminal and civil cases, including habeas corpus petitions. He was also a Legal Extern in the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office’s Central Reexamination Unit.
In law school, Tauseef developed artificial intelligence software for legal argumentation mining as a Senior Researcher at the Research Laboratory for Law, Logic, and Technology, with work published by the International Association for Artificial Intelligence and Law. He captained his team at the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot in Vienna. He is also a trained research scientist with four years of experience in molecular biology, cellular neuroscience, and molecular genetics, published in the Journal of Developmental Biology.
He was selected by Super Lawyers as an Upstate New York Rising Star in 2020 and as a New York Metro Rising Star from 2021 through 2026.
